Why are computers and all their extras so expensive, and why don't they work?!

Last weekend, I made a goal to scan some pictures, only to realise that the scanner didn't work. Then, I found out that I had to turn the power switch on. I tried that today. When it didn't work, I went behind and found the place where I could plug something in. Now, we have boxes of computer junk all over the house, and I don't especially want to go looking in everything for the cord.

The only art programs I have are MS Paint and the Macromedia Education set, thanks to my school. I really wish they would go further down in price when the new updates came out, because then I could get one for a reasonable price.

I'm going to get a light box for half-price, which should come out to 20 or 30 dollars. That's one good thing, technology-wise, for me.

My friend, Hinatachan here, is getting a tablet. They cost a lot. I don't want to spend all my money on something that is, currently, just a toy for me. I wish they made happy fun playaround versions, even if they were crappier. At least I'd be able to decide whether it was something that would make art a lot easier.

That should finish my rant...The funny thing is, I really like technology. I'm not the one who complains about it and is computer-illiterate. I'm just really annoyed with it at the moment. Go me.
